ABOUT US
Art Theatre London is an international ensemble theatre company based in London. We create contemporary theatre and have a history of drawing from literature, cross-cultural exchange, verbatim and responding to our communities.

Recent work includes the critically acclaimed productions Ordinary Madness inspired by Charles Bukowski at Riverside Studios and Anton Chekhov's The Lady with the Dog at The Playground Theatre. We have built a reputation for our distinct theatrical language & deep psychological exploration of character. Our work is shaped by our four key pillars: imagination, craft, collaboration, and community.

We make theatre to bring people together, to share stories of the human experience, to awaken the imagination and move the soul.

The project “enabled me to find my voice after being silenced for many years and I also found improvements in my mobility. The project facilitators were incredibly talented individuals who showed wonderful encouragement and commitment to us. I also need to acknowledge the talents of the other community members I got to interact with, they were amazing

Imagination drives our artistic identity, informing how we generate, interpret, and stage stories in ingenuitive and resonant ways.

Craft reflects our commitment to theatre methodologies and the rigour of the artistic process.

Collaboration is central to our development and production, built through partnerships across industries, cultures, and artistic practices.

Community informs our work and anchors our outreach. Through Art Community Theatre London, we run workshops, courses, and performance projects that support young people and underrepresented groups, removing barriers to creative participation.
